First Weekend of 2026

Happy first weekend of 2026!   In the morning, I'll clean the house and meet Laura for dinner at Texas Roadhouse in West Haven. I checked the menu and found some appealing options.

Watching TV and drinking coffee.  At 9:00, I took out the garbage and began dusting.  I started vacuuming after 10.

I was done with all that including the bathroom and kitchen floors by 2.  I showered, and Laura arrived by 3. We left a short time later for the movies. 

The venue was not crowded, yet the experience was enjoyable. Laura arranged tickets for us to attend Sung Song Blue featuring Hugh Jackman.  I will address this topic in the next entry.   We grabbed snacks, watched previews, and answered movie trivia.   Afterwards we went to dinner at BWW, I had triple burger with onion rings and water but I couldn't finish the burger and brought it home. 

After dinner, we went to Target, where I bought a thermometer and cough drops.   To be honest, I wasn't interested in going, but Laura had suggested it before.   When I realized I needed to get a few things it was a great Idea.

We went home after finishing.   Laura headed home after dropping me off and I got ready for bed.  I fed the cat before bed and checked my temperature.   It looks like I will need a new battery for this thing too
