The most popular season has begun, five weeks early. Starting today Dunkin Donuts has begun serving all things pumpkin spice flavor. I am not really complaining because I love the coffee and of course everything that is infused with pumpkin spice. However it's like everything else that is pushed early. Do we really need to have this so early?
Last week about ten days ago our Vchairman/city clerk Fortunato sent out a recall for volunteers for the DTC tent for the Oysterfestival this weekend. After many snags and changes our group decided to pull out of the Oyster fest. I was disappointed.
It was also done just as the Festival Committee made some changes to the festival. Now everyone on a couple of the Milford FB people are bitching, complaining and calling to boycott it. They don’t understand why they can’t bring their pets, coolers, or food. Two of those have been part of the requirements if you will FOR YEARS. Yet people act as though these rules don’t apply. If you want your dog to socialize there is something called a dog park. USE IT. I love dogs as much as the next human. That doesn’t mean you bring them to large gatherings with other dogs. When I had a dog I used to think oh I would do that, then I saw things happening or read things happening that just were not safe.
They also are complaining about the changes for the Covid. If they think its stupid or ridiculous then join the damn committee next year and make sure you let them know and perhaps learn the rational?
Now that the Covid 19 variant is increasing I am not so anxious to go to the Oyster festival. I may just stay up around the arts and crafts area. Something tells me there are going to be people that are in a fight mode. No matter where we go.
So I left work early today. My right leg was hurting and pretty red hot. No, I didn't go to the doctor but I will if it persists. I sat on the couch for most of the day and got up only to do some minimal cooking.
I watched the NCIS marathon until 10. I did the laundry and now its time to go to bed.
