My Plans Changed Again 9/11/2024

For the last three days I have been trying to write this entry.  I got sidetracked, tired, and prepared for the trip to Allentown. 

On Monday it was an all-around day to stay in my pajamas.  I watched TV, got on the computer.  Did some filing.  I do have more. Made some phone calls. Then did some cleaning as well

 I finally found out why my cordless vacuum wasn’t working!  It was so clogged up. In the hose or stick. I got it almost two years ago. Anyway, it’s working for now, but this is something I need to be aware of.  I will say this. After a year and half, it should not be clogging in the stick part.

I spoke to Brother J and made plans to go to Allentown at the end of the week (read: Tomorrow).  He wanted me to come today, but I told him I had prior commitments.  So, I cancelled all my weekend plans. 

Late Monday afternoon I asked Next-door to watch the cat and to fix a light fixture for me.  When Liz stopped by, she made comments.  I later told Don when he said that I asked him not to because she would make comments. She stopped by to drop off peaches

Tuesday was semi quiet as well.  I did a lot of reading on the computer and was drawn to the crossword puzzle site. Did some cleaning and late in the day bought my contribution to the Guild Dinner.

The guild Dinner went well.  I may have to just give up on wanting people to shut up while people are at the podium.  It drives me crazy but its not my job to monitor.  It would also be nice if people who had no input on the menu or the food shut their pie holes.  The event ended by 8:30 and I was home by 9.  I wasn’t feeling well but I suspect it was what I ate earlier.  Pasta salad pesto from Big Y.  We must plan for our next event, the auction and Christmas festival.

This morning slept in again.  I didn’t sleep well and didn’t rush.  I had fed sky and around 8 I got the lab work done.  On the way home stopped and got batteries for the scale and getting the old ones out is a challenge.  I stopped for coffee and a sandwich at Dunkin.

For all the cleaning I have done so far there seems to be more to do.  In between writing this entry and surfing the net.  I have been trying to get vacuuming done.  I think I will do the floors tomorrow. 

So, I am leaving here around 1:30 to be in Allentown by 5.  This will allow me to beat the commuter traffic and be able to see Jim,
