Today is not only Daylight Savings time for some people but also International Women’s Day.  Truthfully until this year I never gave much thought to it.  It is an ongoing process of honoring contributions and maintaining mutual respect among us all.   

It’s a cloudy and rainy morning and it will be cloudy all day.  I am glad I am not going to go anywhere until dinner time with Liz.

Talked briefly with Laura, who has pneumonia.   She went to the doctor yesterday and got checked out.  She did some errands and rested but she is leaving this afternoon for a flight.  She probably told me her plans, but I expect she'll cancel.   This may be related to voucher she needed to use.

Earlier this week, I might have mentioned my friend Steph.  We saw her at the meetup, and she was excited that her relationship with John was nearing 18 months.   We were all excited for her.  That was until she wrote that John broke up with her by Friday.   They have been living together for some time now, and it was sad.  Fortunately, they used the last few days to rebuild their relationship as friends rather than as romantic partners.  Looking back, I feel they moved too quickly.   They would go on dates before moving in together and call daily but it seemed to go fast.  My hope is they continue to communicate better.

Liz and I are going to Lasses For dinner.  I have been checking menu to pick something. I changed my mind several times.  Heading to Liz’s at 4:15 for a 4:30 reservation.

It's after seven, and I've already been home for an hour.   We had a good time chatting about concerts, our families, and I mentioned Carol's upcoming visa visit.   Although she recommended not doing it, she ultimately said the choice was up to me.    She advised me against providing her with any funds.  I informed Carol she can't stay here. 

I just put the chicken in the oven it should be done by10.  It was easy Italian dressing in one and lemon juice and Italian seasonings in the other and will bake it for 55 minutes-probably less now. 

I also did laundry and they are in different modes at the moment.   As soon as they are done I am going to bed.
