Last Saturday was the literary lunch at Cyns.  I left the house a little after 10 with my contribution to the afternoon festivities.  I stopped and talked with one of my neighbors and picked up the mail.  After that I took off and noticed it would be early so I stopped at McDonalds for breakfast and then kept going.  When I got to Guilford I went to the Business next to the parking lot and realized I went too far so I turned around and parked.  A few minutes later Gillion came and then we took off for Cyn’s place.

We were early and the first ones there.  A little awkward at first but it was short lived.  There were twelve originally supposed to be there but there were ten of us including Deb who I recently met.  Her husband is an anesthesiologist at Yale.

We spent the next several hours talking and eating.  It was great.  Unfortunately,  the whole theme about books never got off the ground nor did the trip to Book Barns.  As time progressed I was having gastro issues and made a few trips to the bathroom and I was getting nervous that I may clog up the toilet.  For some reason my memory of doing that very thing at my brother’s home when was still with his first wife keeps coming up.

The party broke up around 7 and we headed out.  The moon was so bright that night and made things beautiful.  I really enjoyed my time with Gillion.  We made it to the parking lot 45 minutes later and by 8:30 I was home.

I fed the cats, watched TV and then went to bed.

Sunday I wasn’t feeling all that great but had a visit from Liz.  As I look back at it I knew I should have cancelled.  It felt like she had to comment on anything I said or gave advice on what I should have done with the appetizers I brought.  This was all In between all the stories she had.

For the last few days I have been getting angry and frustrated that at times I can’t  say anything.  Although Debra and I will be role playing in the future to be able to teach myself when to say something and when to let go.

Liz offered on Wednesday to find out the prices for haircuts and got me an appointment for Friday.

On Friday I got to her house before one and we chatted until it was time to go.  As LIz and I got there the owner was leaving because wasn’t feeling well.  She had to go to the dr.  We had to wait a really long time for the person to do my hair but it was worth the wait.  It came to $63 dollars.

I also asked her if she had any small black purses I could borrow and she found them and is letting me borrow them.  We went over a check list or suggestions that need to be done..  Including the place to get my car washed.

I actually told her about the car being broken into and she got worried.  sHe did ask if they took anything and I told her no.  It sounded like she was annoyed but before I jump to “she is judging  and criticizing mode” I will go with “concerned”..

I have gotten things all set for the wedding.  After a few hoop jumping the accommodations are all done.  I have put together outfits for the wedding.  Jim called two weeks in a row. Once he invited me to the theater and firing range.  This past weekend was to get phone contacts for Angel Bob’s family.

Work seems like a blur.  Considering the amount of time I spent there this week.  From Wednesday to Friday.  Spent the time scanning, and uploading CDs.  The union meeting was upbeat.  They were preparing for a couple more rallies and planning the ratification rally in October.  I don’t have all the details.

LiseB is planning a Boss’s day celebration for Supervisor in October and is collecting monies for it.  I will be contributing on Monday.  I believe she is getting a gift card.

We did get a huge surprise.  Our CEO of YM is leaving on October 8.  There will be an interim CEO. The Dean had made the announcement on MOnday and on Tuesday  the CEO followed up.  He also spoke about it in the monthly town hall meetings.  It had some of my colleagues wondering what happened.

The bill for the dryer vent cleaning came this week.  For some reason I thought we didn’t have to pay.  He was wrong.  That was paid quickly along with the monthly condo fees.  I learned the trash hut near my unit went solar recently.  It automatically goes on at night when you enter and goes off after ten minutes.

My neighbor in Unit 10 is back in rehab for a broken shoulder.  I learned that yesterday while talking with her son-in-law.   It happened in the last several weeks.   New Neighbor Carole in Unit it 8 moved in this weekend.  I haven’t seen her yet.

I discovered I was overmedicating Tiger.  Now it's being done right.  VCA gave me 45 and reviewed the method again.  She is still limping but she surprised me several times this weekend.  I found her sleeping on the recliner, sleeping on one of the beds I got for her, she slept by the wall in the bedroom, and she hopped up by the bedroom window.

Well it's time for me to move along and get house cleaning.  I have put it off for most of the weekend.  The bathroom got done a lot.

Have a great one.

Since I posted the last entry I have clearly been dragging my heels.  I made lunch, made my bed and folded some clothes.  I kept sitting down and watching TV many times.  I kept thinking I have plenty of time.

Never did have coffee visit with Liz.  She did call around lunch time but I missed it. I called her around 3.  WE talked for about five minute.  She wanted to know if I got the car washed and I told her know.  She also wanted to know if I got things together.  We went through the checklist.   I know she had stuff to do and a dinner last night.

The last time I saw her was at Mama Teresa’s restaurant.  We both were picking up our dinner.  I don’t remember her saying they would do that so it was very weird.

Anyway, now that it’s nine I am going to bed.  I kept falling asleep during the NCIS marathon.   I have already showered and now my hair is not the same way as “Katie” styled it.   I did brush it and style it.  Still looks okay.  Will need to get the small brushes that was recommended.

The cats have been fed, watered, medicated and are currently sleeping in two places.  Tiger is between the dressers in the bedroom and sky is on the recliner.
