Afternoon Accomplishments

 

By 1:30 I finished the vacuuming.  I stopped long enough to call Mama and serenade her and catch her up with things here.  I think I may have told her everything and ultimately I forget something. 

I put the furniture blankets into the wash and then watched TV for a bit.  Then I got dressed and headed to Target.  I gave myself an hour to shop for the things I needed.  When I got back I did what most would call a half ass job of wrapping but got it done. 

I also had a conversation with President Frank.  I wanted to be sure I didn’t step over bounds the other week (He barely remembered it) and then asked me if I had heard him argue with the lawn guy this week.  I told him no.  Apparently a rumor started going around that he fired the lawn guy and he surmised because he did it in front of my unit that I was the one who started it.  I said no. However, I am beginning to understand some people’s views on this guy.

After the conversation I fed the cats, and then got ready for Dinner.  I left here after 6 (had put the gifts in the back seat) and stopped at an ATM and then to the restaurant.

As usual with me and Dave he was waiting outside and I was arriving just a little after 6:30.  I parked down the street from the restaurant and turns out not far from where Dave parked. 

The Food was great.  Service was great too.  We started off our meal with salad and I had onion soup. Dave had surf and turf (Filet mignon and shrimp) I had this.  We talked about his day at the beach, work, and family stuff. 

We also talked about the continuing Saga of LawyerBob!  He asked questions like do we think he is embezzling, and I told him my sister thinks that.  He didn’t realize we had gotten another lawyer to fight this guy.  I could have sworn I told him.

It was after 8:30 when we left and went to the cars.  He opened the gifts I bought and I think he liked them.  In turn he gave me a red velvet cupcake.  We chose not to have dessert.  That cupcake was eaten 10 minutes after I got home.

I decided to turn off the AC now as its much cooler now and closed up the house for the night and turning in.
