Before going to bed last night there were several alerts for thunderstorm, tornado watches, and of course the flash flooding.  The Thunderstorm scared the cats for a little bit but that’s all.  Tiger went and laid down in the Livingroom so I sat with her for a bit.  Sky was under the bed and stayed there for a while.  I watched the news and it covered different towns that were flooding.

When I woke this morning I found the stove clock was flashing and the microwave had all zero in its display.  I am not sure why just those two things were affected because everything else was fine.

It was 60 degrees and cloudy and it looks like Ida is hitting Rhode Island and its outer Islands.  WE have flood warnings until Saturday.  The sun came out before ten.

I heard from the girls in the finding friends group.  Megan has standing water in the crawl space under her bedroom, Stephanie’s fur baby was terrified of the boomers but Stephanie slept well.

I sent a message to the three amigos.  I heard from Ann first.  I know Leslie may live near the beach and there was a street that was flooded near her. Mary says she is fine.

Around ten, I finally got to the house cleaning.  In my mind it’s not that messy but at the same time I know I haven’t done a few things.

For Some reason there is something going on with my hard drive and Microsoft programs.  It's annoying but anything that impedes my activities usually does.

I heard from Liz.  She forgot that I was on vacation and asked how the roads were.  AT first I reminded her I was on vacation and deleted that and then reminded her to get coffee.  Anyway she confirmed that power went out for four hours last night. I guess the same happened in the complex.  She also said the basement got water and she needed to take care of it. All of her plugged in stuff was elevated so it wouldn’t be problematic.

She had to put the rug out and had the fan going so it should be dried out soon.  She is making plans to do some caulking so this will be alleviated in the future.

She did tell me that Nelson 3 and Lisa had seven inches of rain last night and now they are flooded.  I envision their pups doing some doggie paddling.  (They usually keep them down there at night when they go to bed or have company).  The pups are nearly 12 years old collectively.

I managed to get the kitchen and bathroom done.  As usual I managed to get tired out.  So now I will vacuum the rest of the house tomorrow.

Tonight will be the regular routine.  Feed the cats, make Dinner,  and watch TV.
